AMD Sponsors Generation Rescue Autism Organization

What if your child became unable to walk, talk, eat solid food or sit up unassisted? These were the symptoms exhibited by one young boy who was eventually diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  The boy’s poignant story is told by his father in a testimonial featured on the Generation Rescue website. There is a happy ending, thanks to Generation Rescue. The child regained his speech after just one week into the organization’s program and is now in the mainstream educational system ‘€“ can walk, talk, and even participate in sports.

Generation Rescue, founded by parents of a child with ASD, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing education and practical and emotional support to affected families. Autism spectrum disorders have grown at an alarming rate in our country. According to the CDC, the rate of this disorder is up 78% in the past decade. That translates to a current rate of 1 in 68 children (statistics taken from the CDC website).

The term ‘€œautism’€ covers a range of severity and types of symptoms. According to Generation Rescue’s website: ‘€œAutism spectrum disorders (ASDs) are a set of complex neurodevelopmental disorders that vary significantly in character and severity, occur in all ethnic and socioeconomic groups, and affect every age group. Males are four times more likely to have an autism spectrum disorder than females.’€

We at AMD became involved with the autism community and Generation Rescue through a practitioner who uses the IonCleanse® system as an integral part of his program for children with autism; families travel from across the country to see him. We feel a resonance with Generation Rescue, an organization willing to look beyond conventional medical treatments, eager to investigate and try new ideas and modalities with the goal of addressing the root cause of ASDs so that a child can be recovered to health.

Over the years, AMD has listened to stories of how the IonCleanse® detox footbath results in better sleep, more focus, greater calmness, and less aggression, among other benefits, when used by children with ASD. Now, with our new contacts in the ASD community, we hope to increase awareness of this option for families who struggle on a daily basis to support and care for their affected loved one. We also look to the eventual possibility of having some objective statistical evaluations.

We know the powerful healing properties of ionic footbath technology and are excited about the possibilities, not only for us, but also for our practitioners, in expanding the opportunities to support those with ASDs.
