We have a new website!

2013 has been the year of investment for AMD. With our move into our new facility completed in August, the launch of a fresh website was the next step. The website overhaul and redesign, which also includes 90% new content, started in February and required over a thousand hours of work from programmers, developers and our employees. Today marks the culmination of all of that hard work.

Our new website utilizes the Magento ecommerce platform. This platform enables us to leverage the world-wide network of Magento developers and programmers to offer you the advantages of the latest and greatest technologies of the internet. Some of our new features include:

  1. The ability to store credit cards safely and securely through our site – we offer Authorize.net’s CIM service, which allows you to store credit cards through your user profile. This will mean easier and faster checkouts and no more digging through your purse or wallet each time you need to place an order.
  2. 1-step checkout – our simple 1-page checkout means your shopping experience on our website will be a breeze!
  3. Tiered pricing – our tiered pricing policies for products are much more visible, making it easier for you to take advantage of them.
  4. Checkout with PayPal and Bill Me Later – Magento is a software service owned by eBay, who  also owns PayPal and the Bill Me Later service. This means the PayPal integration with our website is seamless.
  5. Real-time shipping rates – our website is also integrated with UPS to calculate real-time shipping rates without leaving the site. Gone are the days of archaic shipping tables.

These are just a few of the many features currently installed on our site. In the upcoming weeks we will introduce two new exciting programs through our website. So please, stay tuned!
