About The Author
AMD founder Bob Moroney recovered from a life-threatening illness at the age of 43 by utilizing alternative therapies and changing, as he says in his book, “anything about myself that needed to be changed.” After his recovery, he devoted the next 30 years of his life to researching the mechanisms of good health – experimenting with a wide range of alternative therapies, keeping abreast of the newest, the most popular, and sometimes even obscure approaches and inventions in the field, giving him a broad perspective and understanding.
Bob earned a masters degree in nutrition from Boulder Graduate School and kept up his own course of continuing education in the alternative health field, attending numerous seminars over the years and meticulously reading the most current books and publications. He also earned a doctorate from Alphabiotics International in Dallas, Texas, a technique that rebalances the brain, taking the body out of the flight-or-fight mode. As part of his personal health and spiritual program he also practiced Qi Gong under the direction of two Chinese masters.
As part of his recovery, Bob also vowed to help others find their way to health and did so for sixteen years as a nutritionist and peak-performance coach. His journey eventually led him to ionic footbath therapy. He pioneered the introduction and popularization of this technology in the U. S., first working with a basic model and eventually developing and patenting the unique IonCleanse® system. Ionic footbath therapy is now a standard feature in the offices of many chiropractors, naturopaths, massage therapists, and other practitioners.
